It connects the "Lamer Winkel" with the "Eisensteiner Hochtal" and leads through the wildlife park which surrounds the "Zwieseler Winkel" directly into the Nationalpark Bayerischer Wald, before it ends in Grafenau. In Bayerisch Eisenstein "celebrating " is an integral part of the daily life. Either at the festive "Arberkirchweih" or at midsummer celebrations, at the "Ludwigshöhfest" or at concerts in the centre of the village, or during hikes in the night with torches, or sociably evenings in the glassworks - to have a good mind to celebrate is very independent! No happening without snow? The "Große Arber" with an altitude of 1.456 m is not only the highest peek of the Bavarian Forest, but with the new cable railway, 8 km of machine trimmed ski runs and four cross country skiing centres also the absolute winter star. Just mount the bus and start to find the absolute skiing action. The "ride and snow Bus" takes you (depending on how much snow is on the ground) from December 21, until the beginning of April to the cross country skiing paths and to the skiing area at the "Großer Arber" at a reasonable price.
